Our School Consultation Service offers schools individualized functional assessments and treatment planning for students with developmental disabilities and/or behavior disorders, as well as staff and parent training. Stephen C. Luce, Ph.D. Director of Professional Development and Training Melmark, Inc. is pleased to welcome Dr Jessica Woods as the new Director of Professional Development and Training. Dr Woods received her doctorate in 2004 in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She completed her pre-doctoral training at The May Institute, Inc., providing school consultation/ outreach and home-based behavioral programming to support children and families with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She completed post-doctoral training and served as the Coordinator of Clinical and Educational Services at the May Center for Neurorehabilitation. Dr Woods received her undergraduate degree in Psychology in 1994 and master’s degree in Child Clinical Psychology in 1997, both from West Virginia University. She brings over 10 years of clinical practice in serving children and adults with intellectual, developmental and challenging behaviors across inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, educational, and outpatient settings and is especially proud that her volunteer work as a Special Olympics coach and peer mentor began almost 20 years ago. Dr Woods is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and has held adjunct faculty appointments at Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ, High Point University in High Point, NC and Fairmont State College in Fairmont, WV.
