Vice President of Business Operations
Bill Ahearn oversees the facilities, maintenance and IT departments across state divisions and finance in New England.
Bill joined Melmark New England in December 2003 as the Director of Business Operations. He has never wavered in his mission-first commitment to the individuals served, often supporting programs during periods of weather emergencies and facility crisis. He creates solutions for long-term outcomes, improving living environments for the people we serve and working conditions for the staff we employ. In his leadership role, he was also a valued participant in the strategic planning process and implementation of goals relating to his departments.
His professional experience includes management consulting as well as financial administration in profit and nonprofit settings. Bill previously served as Divisional Controller for a publicly traded technology solutions provider for the defense industry.
He was instrumental in the relocation of MNE to Andover, Mass., in December 2006, and spearheaded each construction project and MNE’s expansion into adult services both in rate setting development and physical facility development. Projects were well-vetted before construction started, and in each project, Bill brought the project in on time and at or under budget.
Bill Ahearn graduated from Clark University before earning an M.B.A. in Finance from Babson College in the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business.
