Nate Morabito from WCNC Charolotte, visited Melmark Carolinas in August 2023. Nate’s visit and interviews were precipitated by a recent news story that aired on WCNC’s “Seeking Solutions” news segment, focused on the status of Special Education schools in NC.

We are grateful for the opportunity to share our mission and the perspective of families we serve, along with the news of our highly specialized school in Charlotte, serving students diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), brain injury, neurological disorders, dual diagnoses, and severe challenging behaviors.
