Effective Use of Visual Supports
This online, synchronous training will introduce participants to the purpose of visual supports for individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, and other communication challenges. Participants will learn how and when visual supports can be useful, about different types (e.g. choice boards, token boards, visual timers, activity schedules), and helpful strategies for implementation. Participants will see examples of visual support and have the opportunity to brainstorm examples for use with their loved one.
