Michael Collins serves as Chief Development Officer for Melmark, bringing over 20 years of nonprofit leadership experience to the organization. In this role, he oversees all aspects of development strategy across Melmark’s divisions, including philanthropy, donor relations, strategic partnerships, and event-based fundraising initiatives.

Prior to joining Melmark, Michael served as a Vice President at Best Buddies International, where he led national advancement efforts spanning peer-to-peer fundraising, corporate partnerships, strategic communications, and sponsorship development. He successfully guided multi-regional teams and collaborated with executive leaders to build sustainable donor pipelines, increase visibility, and strengthen mission-aligned engagement.

Michael earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from the University of Maine and completed graduate coursework in Higher Education Administration at Eastern Nazarene College.
